Our Mission

In 1963, a young Linfield student set out to write a historical account of his fraternity. It was considered then, as it is now, the oldest local fraternity in the Pacific Northwest. On page three of this account, Doug Cruger quoted a summary what Delta Psi Delta was all about. It reads:

… We are learning here, in a miniature, that lesson which the world so needs to learn; how to live together in community and better develop our individual possibilities by that experience.

Throughout the generations, this sentiment has always seemed to hold. Today, we express it a little differently in our mission statement.

The Brothers of Delta Psi Delta are committed to forging common bonds between diverse, quality individuals and building a brotherhood that will stand the test of time at Linfield and beyond. We want to be best group of friends that ever existed.

This mission goes hand in hand with our philosophy and values. Together, they help light our path into the future.

Delta Psi Delta has been many things, but our motto has always remained the same. The antique Greek letters Delta Psi Delta roughly translate to “We are going through a course of training for the glory of the soul.”

Delta Psi Delta has always strove to provide an environment of self-actualization for each of its members; to give them the opportunity to learn and succeed in running a non-profit organization made up of their closest friends.

To our guests, we hope you enjoy the puckish spirit of our membership. To our new brothers, we hope you find yourself in the halls of your new home.
